Lift Truck Certification

Who needs this training?

There is a legal obligation for any individuals operating a Lift Truck to be trained in its operation. If you have never received any Lift truck training or have an expired Lift Truck certificate, you require this training.

*** An expired Lift Truck certification is one that is 6-12 months past, and the operator has not continued practicing operation. ***

Course Description

This course complies with the CSA Standard B335-15 “Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training”, and the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development’s “Guideline for the Safe Operation and Maintenance of Powered Lift Trucks”. Students will leave the theory session of this course with an in-depth knowledge to safely identify workplace hazards associated with the use of Lift Trucks, the regulations that apply, the different classes/types and all associated safe handling techniques/inspections/and operating controls. The theory session will be followed by a practical session & evaluation, which allows students to demonstrate their skills on a Lift Truck to pass competency standards. This practical session & evaluation may or may not be on the same day (please speak with office admin when booking to complete these details).

Note: students that are currently employed will have their practical evaluation(s) completed on their workplace specific Lift Truck(s) & students that are not currently employed will be invited to complete their practical evaluation with us on a rented Lift Truck.
