Jay Hennessy – General Manager & Safety Trainer / Consultant
Jay Hennessy joined HRS Group as a trainer/consultant in 2020 and was quickly promoted to General Manager in 2021. Jay has his sights set on growing the business to new levels, while maintaining what their clients have come to expect – honesty, professionalism, and accommodation.
Jay comes to HRS Group with 15 years of experience in health & safety and a passion to help others – highlighted by his 10 years of service as a volunteer firefighter and instructor (retired). Apart from being a volunteer firefighter, Jay spent 5 years in the grocery business and 10 years in manufacturing, while serving as an active member on the respective Joint Health & Safety Committee.
Why health and safety – Jay has been involved in two serious workplace accidents in the past and they were a direct result of his employers not taking health & safety seriously. These accidents could have been prevented with adequate hazard controls and proper training. He does not want the same thing to happen to other workers – every worker deserves to return home to their loved ones.
In his spare time, Jay enjoys working out, playing video games, and taking day trips with his family. Most summers you can find Jay, his wife, and two kids in Nova Scotia, enjoying the fresh seafood and time with friends & family.

Brooks Paget – HR Coordinator & Accounts Clerk
You may find Brooks at the other end of a phone call and for you, this is good. Brooks is well versed and well-spoken when it comes to our clients’ needs and will not hesitate to go above and beyond to ensure our clients are happy.
Her background ranges from working in a kitchen, a lawyer’s office, a lifeguard, to a denture clinic. She has always had an interest in business and people, but never thought she would end up in payroll or the health and safety industry – but HRS Group is glad she did!
Why health and safety – Brooks believes in the quest for knowledge and advocating for those who do not have a voice, which is evident through her commitment to not only running the accounts department but also looking after Qualitative Respirator Fit Testing for HRS Group Inc. That’s right, Brooks is the one that sprays that lovely bitter solution into the hood! Brooks also has a background in human resources, which also plays an important role in health and safety, through policy & procedure development.

First, she became a classroom instructor to help others understand world issues and then on to health & safety instructing, in the auto industry. This experience has been an asset since joining HRS Group in early 2021, where Kelly has cemented herself as one of HRS Group’s lead instructors.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys helping dog rescue teams and creating jarred gifts such as bath salts, soups, and cookies. Spending time with her family is where her heart is, with 2 growing grandsons and 2 beautiful granddaughters, Kelly tries to spend as much time as she can in London Ontario.
