A window washer plummeted to his death, on August 18, 2009, from the 18th storey of a downtown skyscraper Tuesday afternoon. He fell onto a platform of the Blue Cross building at the corner on President-Kennedy Ave. and Aylmer St. at 1:30 p.m.
We all remember the scaffold accident that happened near the end of Christmas Eve day at the end of 2009. Metron Construction Inc. had 5 employees on their swing stage and it broke sending 4 out of the 5 employees to their death, 13 stories below. The 5th employee received 2 broken legs and a crushed spine.

There are 61 charges laid against the ‘Metron Construction Company’ of Toronto and ‘Swing N Scaff’ of Ottawa. Five men fell, approximately 13 stories when the scaffold they were using to repair balconies snapped in half. One of the workers lived through the accident and had his legs crushed and his spine broken.
