St. Marys Cement Inc. of Toronto has been fined $75,000 and a supervisor was fined $3,000 for violations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act after a worker was injured.
Two compliance orders were issued to Vale after an incident in which molten metal leaked from a furnace and set off a number of explosions at the copper cliff smelter in Sudbury, Ontario.
