NATSCO Mechanical Contractors Inc., a Sarnia-based company, was fined $70,000 on May 10, 2010 for a violation under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) after a worker was struck by a 3,500 kilogram pipe and seriously injured.
I have enough material to create many more blogs but today I have to speak from the heart and this blog is personally aimed at my readers.
I started blogging at the end of November last year, and here we are, August 30th, 2011 and we have 131 blogs to date. This is not the special information I want to pass on to the readers. No, the real deal is that I have just reviewed the 10,000 registered comment! Wow!!! There are comments from all around the world. There are 61 charges laid against the ‘Metron Construction Company’ of Toronto and ‘Swing N Scaff’ of Ottawa. Five men fell, approximately 13 stories when the scaffold they were using to repair balconies snapped in half. One of the workers lived through the accident and had his legs crushed and his spine broken.
