Are you required to shut down equipment for maintenance or repair purposes? Are you required to use lockout equipment and apply tags to machinery? If so, you require this training.
Course Description
This training course covers safe practices and procedures that are intended to reduce the risk to workers when working in, on, or around equipment, machinery, or materials that have stored hazardous energy.
Also covered are requirements outlined in the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act, such as, roles and responsibilities for all workplace parties pertaining to LOTO, as well as Ont. Reg. 851 Industrial Establishments, and any other pertinent legislation such as CSA Z460:20 Control of hazardous energy – Lockout and other methods.
